Last week I went to Las Vegas for the second time this year, and had yet another absolutely amazing time   On the first day we did a spot of gambling in the Wynn, then headed over to the Venetian for lunch.  Sadly, I lost a good $60 on the slots … poor show!  In the evening we went to see a show on at the Wynn called “Le Reve” … absolutely amazing!  It was the perfect mix of art, fantasy, magic and talent.  Check out this video to see what its all about!  We had dinner in a fancy restaurant overlooking the waterfall at the Wynn, which does a very unusual show every 30 minutes.

I had a very lucky day on the 2nd day … literally the first machine I sat down at, I immediately got through to the bonus round, managing to achieve total winnings of $131 on a 1 cent machine!  How awesome is that!  Unfortunately the winnings went towards the losses I made the previous day (and the following evening) to make it a roughly even win/lose ratio!  So thats pretty much days of fun for free!  Fine by me   Afterwards we did a “casino crawl”, making our way down the strip.  By the end of it we were knackered so decided to get a taxi back to the hotel.  But unfortunately this clashed with the arrival of Obama, so the entire strip was closed to all vehicles!  Grrr … had to walk all the way back again!

Later that night we ate at a restaurant called Switch, that switches its theme every 30 mins to give you a new style of restaurant.  New walls appear, a new ceiling, and new decor!  As amazing as that all sounds … it was a little disappointing.  Only 3 themes.  Meh.

Today was hilarious, I was hanging out with my buddy Rudy, just driving around the valley running various errands … when all of a sudden he announces that his car is running hot. So we pull over, Rudy opens the bonnet and fiddles around with a few things … and then BOOOOOOOM the car starts spitting out green fluid! (apparently very hot green fluid!). I couldn’t help but laugh and take photos

But Rudy being the absolute car genius, fixed it up nicely and got everything working again. Which makes me think that I reeeeeeeeeeeally need to learn how to repair cars! A breakdown could happen at anytime, especially with 2nd had cars.

Just wanted to give a big Happy Birthday to my nephew Alejandro Guinda, who turned 1 year old on May 12th, 2009. We threw an awesome party for him, he was absolutely loving the attention!  Photos will be up shortly once my sis gets around to uploading them
